Epicurean Delights

A staple in Berlin's fast food cuisine is the Currywurst, a sausage sprinkled with curry powder and then smothered with ketchup, served on a paper dish, and eaten with a plastic fork at Berlin’s an Imbiss stall – equivalent to what we in the city would view as a chicken and rice or kebob stand.

Previously limited to the realm of greasy sausages and attracting tourists willing to experience the excessive meatiness and fattiness of German food, the Imbiss stand has evolved to include Asian and Middle Eastern delights for just jaded or health-conscious Deutschmarks. Also popular in Berlin is the boulette, a well-known version fried meatball.
